Gotta love auto merge until it breaks something lol, I recommend (especially if you have ADHD) if you're using auto merge to merge points that don't need to be moved and are just close together press M and then merge by distance. it's safer because you can't forget to turn it off xD Hope thats helpful to someone :3

Also, you can use an array modifier onto an object to create stairs that looks like the one the King is walking down, basically just make the first array set the Relative Offset to be X: 1, Y: 0, and Z: 1 to make a straight stair looking, than add an empty for the pivoting point and set the Object Offest to that empty, and finally, just rotate thee empty on the Z axes and you should have a spiral staircase. The Object Offset might be a little weird and when you play around the empty it might look interesting, just tweek around and see what you like. Oh, and don't forget to set your array amount!

Or you could delete that pinch part and add a grid fill, then, you can use porportional editing to smooth that part of the sphere even more if you want. The thing is usually you do prefer the topology of the UV sphere when doing some of the modeling cause the loops are more practical for spheres.

guys, don't always use the icosphere, it's full of tris and tris are bad most of the cases

when i want export my final animation with this type of facial rig the animation doesn't work. i suppose for the different format of the nodes, some advice?

Before anyone come and say "it's nightmare for me as game artist bcz ngons/tris", noooooooo game engine convert your model in tris so it's better to do it while exporting so you don't face problems when Baking, Texturing and importing in game engine.
